The New Generation of iPhone
With the release date of the iPhone on the horizon, there have been rumors about what the new bells and whistles may be. Some people look forward to the release of new iPhones like a holiday, waiting in line to be among the first to have one. It is still uncertain whether the new device will be called the iPhone 5s or the iPhone 6, but what is for sure is that there will be a frenzy to have one. However, it can be useful to note that not every new generation iPhone is technically better than the ones that have come before it.
For example, the iPhone 4 is much sturdier than its predecessor, the iPhone 4s, which has been known to crack much more easily when dropped. The iPhone 5 was longer and leaner, but for some reason was more prone to scratches. Another thing to consider is the updated hardware; when the iPhone 5 changed the shape of the charger, it meant that any speakers, car chargers or other supplemental devices fit for iPhones had to be updated as well. One of the rumors surrounding the new iPhone is that there will be three variations in its physical size, but since the release date still has not been announced, we can only wait and see what Apple has in store.
